Honeywell has released a Spanish language version of its LYNX Plus security system.
MELVILLE, N.Y., March 21, 2011 – Honeywell today released a version of LYNX Plus that displays and announces system status in Spanish. LYNX Plus is the security industry’s first self-contained wireless residential system that internally supports two-way voice capabilities over GSM and an integrated signal-strength meter. The new version is ideal for Spanish-speaking households or households with a preference for Spanish.
LYNX Plus is a combination control panel, keypad, siren, dialer, two-way voice system and speakerphone. An internal GSM radio lets dealers offer RMR-generating services like Total Connect, which lets end-users manage their security systems, view live video and receive important alerts from wireless mobile devices. LYNX Plus can communicate using standard phone lines, IP transmission and GSM. GSM services are delivered with an internal plug-in radio that facilitates two-way voice sessions between homeowners and central stations during emergencies. These capabilities increase sales opportunities with customers who don’t rely on traditional phone lines for communication.
LYNX Plus contains features that reduce installation time and costs, including a GSM signal strength indicator that allows dealers to easily position the device for best location, a bright, easy-to-read custom backlit alpha display with voice annunciation that reduces training time and support calls. One hardwired zone and a hinged cover enable cleaner, faster, less costly installations.
