NetSupport has announced the launch of NetSupport Notify 2.0, a desktop alert mass notification system. NetSupport Notify is a specially developed solution allowing instant and reliable delivery of notifications and alerts across a LAN or WAN to both Windows and Mac desktops.
NetSupport Notify provides a simple and effective solution to allow administrators to reliably deliver key notifications to employees across an enterprise without concern for network topology and to provide accurate records of message delivery and acknowledgement.
Unlike typical LAN-based messaging solutions, NetSupport Notify provides a dedicated notification gateway(s) that allow seamless message delivery across multiple network segments or dispersed sites without the need for network modifications or switch configuration.
With support for Windows and Mac desktops, including Vista, NetSupport Notify v2 provides administrators with an enhanced range of message customization features, centralized reporting and a new scheduling facility that enables frequent or one-off notifications to be set for a specified date/time in the future. Unique security codes and new user accounts limit access to only authorized users and the centralized reporting option provides a full delivery and user acknowledgement history. Agent configuration, departments and security can also be controlled via Active Directory policies.
The latest version also includes a communication component which allows the system to be accessed via a web browser or be integrated with other management systems.
Pricing for NetSupport Notify starts from as little as $180.00 for a 75 user pack, which allows for up to 75 desktop agents and unlimited notification consoles and gateways. Unlike alternative solutions, NetSupport Notify does not rely on external hosted servers or charge annually for usage.
