Dallas, TX (October 12, 2010) - SightLogix, supplier of intelligent video surveillance systems for outdoor security applications, will demonstrate the broad applicability, easy implementation and economic benefits of automated outdoor video surveillance for a variety of outdoor security uses at ASIS 2010. The SightLogix system accurately detects, provides assessment detail, and locates intrusions over outdoor areas and perimeters in all weather and geographic conditions.
Among the SightLogix news at ASIS 2010 is the selection of the SightLogix video intrusion detection system by Buffalo Niagara International Airport, the largest airport in Upstate New York, utilizing Thermal SightSensor detection cameras and SightTrackers to provide complete situational awareness over the airport's perimeter. Also in company news is the introduction of a web-based perimeter security design tool that enables security professionals to quickly and easily model a video intrusion detection system. SightLogix is also paving the way for more widespread use of intelligent video technology with an accredited program to assist architects and engineers with the proper application of intelligent video surveillance technology into outdoor security project designs. Industry education is another initiative for SightLogix; the company's Perimeter and Area Surveillance Briefing training course is now eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) related to various industry certification programs including ASIS, BICSI and NTS.

SightLogix systems are being selected and deployed globally for perimeter security applications specifically due to their accuracy and infrastructure cost reduction, enabling on time, on budget projects. The SightLogix system includes:
SightSensor, Visible, WideView and Thermal Long-Range Outdoor Detection Cameras, incorporating an imager, lens optics, electronic stabilization, video analytics software, camera control and GPS target tracking. On-board digital signal processors (DSP) directly coupled with the image sensor to analyze scene details of each video frame for better accuracy and extended range.
SightTracker, a pan-tilt-zoom controller that translates the GPS-based target information from an associated SightSensor to automatically steer third-party PTZ cameras to zoom and follow detected targets.
SightMonitor, target mapping and configuration software that overlays camera positions, detected alarms and locations and camera fields-of-view onto a geo-positioned aerial map of the surveillance area to provide users complete situational awareness.
Components of the SightLogix system are enclosed within a ruggedized, NEMA 4X housing to withstand extreme weather and climate conditions. Flexible and secure communications include 10/100 Ethernet with support for satellite, cellular, wireless (802.11 a/b/g) and full broadband communications, with AES 256-bit encryption and SSL protocol.
