RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tridium, Inc. today announced that Control Concepts Security, a leading provider of building automation and security systems selected the NiagaraAX Framework as the technology platform for iNTREO, its new IP-enabled physical security management solution.
iNTREO Security is an advanced, web-based access control and intrusion detection system that provides credential-based access control, event and alarm monitoring, time and attendance, video surveillance and building automation integration via a standard web browser from anywhere at any time. It is ideal for a single building or large multi-site applications.
The NiagaraAX Framework is a modular, software platform and development environment that solves the challenges associated with open systems, integration and interoperability by integrating diverse systems and devices into a unified platform that is easily managed and controlled over the Internet. Today, it is the foundation for a variety of pervasive solutions in Building Automation, Security, Industrial, Residential, Energy, Medical, Telecommunications and M2M with over 136,000 instances operating in 43 countries.
“There’s never been more focus on the need to protect buildings, assets, and employees than right now. In a dynamic world where personnel and requirements change quickly, having an IP based system built on a framework provides better security, flexibility and manageability. Tridium’s NiagaraAX platform provided us with a comprehensive solution that addressed these issues as well as the its ability to create more features and functions and get us to market faster," said Phillip Bailey, Security Business Manager, Control Concepts Security.
“Tridium is very excited to have Control Concepts Security adopt NiagaraAX as their foundation for their smart security solution,” said Marc Petock, Tridium’s Vice President Global Marketing and Communications. “iNTREO has already been installed successfully in a number of facilities where it is combining open, IP based security with building automation to meet the needs for reliability and integration of multi-vendor equipment and web access.”
