CARMEL, IND. – March 17, 2009 – Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced that its new durable and stylish narrow stile Falcon 24 Series and wide stile 25 Series exit devices provide a perfect fit for and handle some of the toughest door traffic challenges possible. Falcon Door Hardware customers will want to consider the new Falcon exit devices at offices, banks, assisted living facilities, restaurants, schools, churches and other commercial venues and in both new construction and remodeling projects.
“Months of intensive “voice of the customer,” collaboration and teamwork with our channel partners, quality upgrades and exhaustive testing have culminated with the launch of our new Falcon Series 24 and 25 exit devices,” affirms Chris Nieshalla, business unit manager for Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies Falcon brand. “Since these highly anticipated Falcon exit devices are backed by one of the best names in the security business, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, and designed by the same veteran engineers that work on Von Duprin, customers can be sure that they are receiving the utmost value and reliability. In addition, the Falcon exit devices are manufactured at the same world class factory as Von Duprin, adding the benefit of over one hundred years of experience.”
Installers can choose from a host of features, such as an A or B label fire rating, electrified and panic options, a full complement of trims and all exit device functions such as rim, surface vertical, concealed vertical and mortise. Certifications include ANSI 156.3, 2001 Grade 1, UL and cUL for panic and fire exit hardware.
Meeting or exceeding ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 testing standards, the new Falcon series 24 and 25 exit device is durable. A patent-pending deadlocking technology ensures reliable security. An extruded aluminum body construction delivers greater strength and impact resistance, providing tough performance in a range of applications. To verify their reliability, the Falcon 24 and 25 Series exit devices are backed by a 10-year warranty.
Although tough, the new streamlined designed exit devices are also stylish, providing a clean design with no exposed screws or rivets on the backs of the devices. Standard features include scratch-resistant surfaces, including the stainless steel push pad. A flush end cap adds to the aesthetics of the devices and reduces “catch-points” for carts and other objects as they pass through the opening.
The new exit devices are also easy to order and price. Distributors will find that they can meet a wider range of applications with less inventory space. Installers will find it easy to select and install the appropriate exit device for the job. Deadlocking is already built into the device.
