Bosch achieves Intransa select certification

CUPERTINO, CA and FAIRPORT, NY – September 27, 2010 – Intransa, the VideoAppliance company, and Bosch Security Systems, Inc., today announced that Bosch has achieved Intransa VideoAppliance SELECT Partner Certification. In addition, the soon-to-be-released Bosch Recording Station (BRS) video management solution will be available with Intransa VideoAppliance platforms.

"Customers require reliable, efficient storage of video data with systems that are easy to use," said Christopher Johnston, product marketing manager, Bosch Security Systems, Inc. "Our collaboration with Intransa offers security personnel new options for recording and managing their surveillance video, giving them greater choice when purchasing a system."

BRS is a scalable video management solution that seamlessly integrates digital video, audio, and data securely across any IP network. It easily integrates network and high-definition/megapixel cameras, access solutions, alarm panels as well as external components, including ATM and POS terminals, into a complete solution that is easy to operate and manage, facilitating faster responses to critical events. It is well suited for large-scale security environments, such as airports, transit terminals, ports, banks and retail centers.

"We’re pleased that the Bosch Recording Station solution will be available with Intransa VideoAppliance," said George Vaiser, vice president, video system applications, Intransa. "With Bosch now SELECT Partner Certified, our mutual customers are assured that they will receive risk-free, highly integrated and dependable surveillance systems."

Widely deployed by customers in physical security, industrial video and related markets since its introduction in mid-2009, Intransa’s VideoAppliance was recently recognized as the Best in Video Storage and Distribution by the Security Industry Association at ISC West 2010, which is the latest in a string of similar awards.

Each Intransa installer-ready appliance shrinks the complexity and cost of integrating commodity servers, storage and other hardware for demanding physical security needs. While eliminating two, three, four or more commodity server and storage systems with a single, physical security optimized device, Intransa’s VideoAppliance includes integration with the customer’s choice of software, including Bosch products.

Intransa executives will be on hand in booth 3497, October 12-14, 2010 at ASIS International in Dallas and in booth 827, October 20-21, 2010 at Security Canada Central in Toronto. To schedule an advance appointment at either event, please email
