CUPERTINO, Calif. and CARROLLTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intransa, the VideoAppliance company, and Open Options, Inc., a technology-based access control and software development company with a commitment to open architecture, have announced that the Open Options DNA Fusion software is now available as a preloaded, certified option on Intransa VideoAppliances. Open Options, Inc. has achieved certification as an Intransa VideoAppliance SELECT Partner which is a requirement to be preloaded on the company’s scalable appliance platforms.
"As a leader in open platform access control we have been fully committed to an open architecture for the past twelve years and believe that our customers will benefit from this integration with Intransa’s VideoAppliances," said Steve Fisher, president & CEO, Open Options, Inc. "The partnership brings significant benefit when coupled with mutual technology partners like Milestone Systems, of which Open Options was named Solution Partner of the Year for our video integration."
Each Intransa installer-ready appliance shrinks the complexity and cost of integrating commodity servers, storage and other hardware used in a demanding physical security environment. Intransa’s VideoAppliance includes integration with the customer’s choice of software and hardware, including Open Options software, while eliminating two, three, four or more commodity server and storage systems with a single, physical security optimized device.
"Open Options is one of our first access control partners to achieve Intransa VideoAppliance SELECT Partner certification and we’re very pleased to add them as a technology partner," said Ayal Vogel, vice president, business development, Intransa. "Customers who select to run Open Options software on Intransa appliances will benefit greatly from the close integration between hardware and software, all while supporting the best of open IP technology."
Widely deployed by customers in physical security, industrial video and related markets since its introduction in mid-2009, Intransa’s VideoAppliance was recently recognized as the Best in Video Storage and Distribution by the Security Industry Association at ISC West 2010, which is the latest in a string of similar awards.
Open Options is an industry leader in access control software that delivers a complete security solution in a clean, customizable and easy to use interface. Its DNA Fusion software has been designed to work with the open, industry-standard Mercury Security control panels and seamlessly interfaces with major manufacturers of video management systems, critical communications, alarm panels and biometrics.
