Unisys wins $1.4M contract from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 4, 2008--U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) has awarded Unisys a $1.4 million task order under the Department of Homeland SecurityEnterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract to provide secure email and identity management services supporting the agency's 18,000 employees.

The task order covers the first phase of the Baseline Automation Support Infrastructure for Citizenship Services (BASICS) and will be completed over a 16-month period. Unisys will help the CIS move towards a more secure and independent IT infrastructure that will serve as a stable foundation to assist the agency in achieving its mission of adjudicating the nation?s immigration and naturalization cases and establishing immigration service policies.

The task order includes the design, development and implementation of a Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange email services as well as identity management support for CIS employees around the world. Unisys will also help design a user authentication and public key infrastructure solution integrated with the federal government's Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12) initiative for identity management.

The Unisys team also will help to support the DHS data centers and to install, manage and support disaster recovery solutions for the Core Enterprise Suite.
