Keeneo makes enhancements to SafeZone

New functionality added to popular video analytics package

SafeZone version 3.0, adds new functionality and curtails false alarms to meet the most difficult security applications.

Keeneo’s SafeZone is an industry leading video analytics software package for intrusion detection and perimeter protection. Keeneo upgraded the SafeZone capabilities in version 3.0 by incorporating powerful algorithms that can be used for the most difficult applications: low light, distant people, impact of lights and shadows, and differentiation between vehicles and people. New features include: the ability to hide selected scenarios or characters zones; back up of alarms in the user system’s proprietary format or in the Keeneo viewer; and added equal performance ability with optical, IR or thermal cameras.

Much more than a simple solution to motion detection, the software is based on SafeZone’s patented 4D technology that incorporates elements of both space in 3D and time. Marie-Claude Frasson, chief of the engineering department in Keeneo says: “images of video surveillance systems scenes are reconstructed by SafeZone spatially in 3D with added analysis using time. SafeZone can reproduce in this way the cognitive processes used by humans”.
In this version, Keeneo also offers a better configuration and user interface tool, and enhanced program installation (automatic install, uninstall, updates).

SafeZone 3.0 plug and play integration into Keeneo’s solution partners platforms include: Omnicast (Genetec) Xprotect (Milestone), Intellex (ADT), Discovery (GE), Ubicus (iProcess) and Seal (Omnitech). Keeneo customers not only benefit from improved security they also realized improvements to their business operation efficiency.
