IRVINE, CA, July 23, 2009 - Orsus, the pioneer and innovator in the field of Situation Management, announced it has signed a teaming agreement with GTSI Corp. to provide its Situation Management solution – Situator - to the government marketplace.
GTSI, a leading enterprise IT infrastructure solutions and services provider, will offer Situator as part of a comprehensive security solution to federal government agencies and on its U.S. Communities Technology Contract to state and local government agencies.
Orsus offers a comprehensive and unique approach that coordinates the interaction between people, alerting sources and responses. Situator, its software-based Situation Management solution, brings together disparate security systems such as access control, surveillance, fire and other systems under a single interface for Command & Control Room operators. Situator enables users to dynamically manage emergency situations, implement routine security checks and effectively manage all the data from security systems and other related devices.

In May, 2009, GTSI won a seven-year (four base years and three option years) U.S. Communities Technology Services and Solutions Contract. The contract was awarded by Fairfax County, Virginia, and will be available to over 90,000 public agencies within state and local government nationwide through the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance.
Under the teaming agreement, ORSUS will have Approved Partner status in GTSI’s State, Local, and Education (SLED) Partner Program, and will work closely with GTSI’s physical security solutions team to market and sell Situator under the U.S. Communities contract.
The U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance is a nationwide purchasing cooperative designed to be a procurement resource for local and state government agencies, school districts (K-12), higher education, nonprofits and public funded Healthcare organizations. It is estimated by U.S. Communities that some 400 new public agencies register each month for this cooperative.
