Company to supply country’s security forces with explosive ordinance disposal equipment

OTTAWA, Feb. 2, 2009 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) -- Allen-Vanguard Corporation of Ottawa, Canada today announced that it has received an order worth approximately C$5 million for a variety of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment for Brazilian security forces.

"We are very pleased at the confidence the Brazilian security forces have placed in our ability to provide them an integrated equipment set for enhanced EOD capability," said David E. Luxton, President and CEO.

The Company added that Brazil and other countries in Latin America have become very active markets for a wide range of security equipment, and that sales in this region are expected to contribute significantly to the Company's Personal Protective Systems business in fiscal 2009.
