Secure identification and RFID solutions provider Identive Group announced Tuesday that Rob Zivney has been appointed to the newly created role of vice president, government and standards.
Zivney, who spent 15 years with Identive’s Hirsch enterprise security business, will be responsible for helping to strengthen the company’s position in the identity management, physical and cyber security sectors within the government market, according to a statement issued by the company.
"Identity management and converged solutions are two of the most dynamic growth areas in the security industry today," Zivney said in the statement. "Identive Group is one of the most well positioned companies to serve and indeed drive these market trends, and I am excited to be a part of the vision the company is implementing."
Zivney is active in several security industry organizations including the Security Industry Association and the Smart Card Alliance. He currently serves on the SIA board of directors and as chair of the Security Industry Standards Council. Zivney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
