PowerCheck system delivers convenient solution for managing guard tour activities

Oxford, CT (January 5, 2011) – Today’s facility and security management is faced with an ongoing need to optimize technology and resources in order to improve physical security operations. Selecting the technology and resources however requires thoughtful consideration to achieve the desired goals.

PowerCheck Guard Tour Systems from Morse Watchmans is an invaluable management tool that has been designed with the functionality and ease of use needed to meet the demands of a comprehensive security operation. This affordable solution, with its multiple tour capabilities, integrated functions and reporting options can also help to limit an organization’s exposure to liability issues as well as provide measurements for accountability.

"The organization, management and guard activities can be more efficiently achieved through the PowerCheck Guard Tour System, which is designed to computerize the reporting procedures and offer ease of use for security officers," said Fernando Pires, VP Sales and Marketing, Morse Watchmans. "The system ensures that tasks are being completed."

The computerized PowerCheck Guard Tour System is comprised of a hand-held data recorder, checkpoint stations, and reporting software. The hand-held data recorder allows security personnel to input incident codes on site, using the built-in keypad and display. The Tour-Pro Data Sorting Software is a Windows application which converts the data recorder information into custom reports and was developed specifically for the Morse Watchmans PowerCheck Guard Tour System. For added value and convenience, the software enables programming of the data recorder and file management.

Paperwork is minimized with 99 user programmable incident codes. These codes could be input at any time by the officer and can be downloaded to the computer at the end of the guard tour. The Auto Pilot feature prompts guards to visit the next station, and can be programmed for random tour sequences to help ensure compliance. Checkpoint stations have a lifetime warranty and are designed for indoor and outdoor use. Their compact design and size blend well into any environment.
