NY Metro InfraGard to host counterterrorism conference

Floral Park, NY - February 8, 2010- NY Metro InfraGard(r), an organization that connects security professionals around the world to help protect our nation's critical infrastructures, and Extreme Terrorism Consulting, counterterrorism training specialists, announce the launch of a brand new conference called "Counterterrorism NYC 2010: Are You Being Targeted?" that will feature a special keynote on Terror Trials in Manhattan - Challenges Facing The City.

This two day conference will take place on March 4th and 5th from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Price Waterhouse Coopers (300 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017) and will focus on the new faces of terrorism and the challenges facing New York City and other metropolitan centers. NY Metro InfraGard and Extreme Terrorism Consulting are hosting this important event to better prepare security professionals, first responders, government agencies, businesses, academics, and other citizens on how to detect and counteract terrorist activities.

NY Metro InfraGard and Extreme Terrorism Consulting are proud to have a distinguished panel of experts who will be providing the latest counterterrorism training for attendees. Keynote speakers include Steven Emerson, Executive Director of The Investigative Project on Terrorism; Dr. Michael Lerner, President of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress; and Dr. James Forest, Director of Terrorism Studies, Combating Terrorism Center, at the US Military Academy.
