Arecont Vision, a California firm specializing in IP-connected megapixel surveillance camera technology, announced this week that it has established a channel partner certification program. The program is designed for systems integrators, distributors, architects and engineers. Certifications will be conducted by having partners attend any of a schedule of training and certification seminars around the United States, as well as internationally.
The sessions will focus on Arecont's technology, but will also address design and specifying concerns related to using megapixel surveillance in the real world. Besides simply learning about the company's latest megapixel technologies and how to best deploy them, the certified partners will receive preferential treatment on leads and projects.
"Attendees will learn all about megapixel technology – where it was, where it is now and where it's going," said Arecont Vision Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Schafer. "Educating our channel partners about the advantages and value that megapixel technology provides is an important step in broadening the market. Our channel partners will come away with a much stronger ability to design, configure, install, and support their customers. Additionally, they will be able to present, demonstrate and build compelling business cases for their customers. Being able to provide a strong return on investment (ROI) is also a key deliverable."
Sessions started earlier this week on June 2 in Glendale, Calif., and then on June 4 in Dallas, Texas. Upcoming U.S. dates for the program include July 7 (Baltimore), July 9 (New York), July 14 (Chicago), July 15 (Seattle). International dates already on the calendar include June 15 (Northern Europe), October 5 (Southern Europe). According to Arecont Vision, sessions are also planned for Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Australia.
Partners who attend Arecont's sessions receive an Arecont Vision MegaKit with a megapixel camera, a megapixel lens, mini-tripod, PoE splitter/injector, two retractable CAT5e cables, and a custom-labeled Arecont Vision case.
