Siemens hires new business development managers

Systems integrator Siemens announced Thursday that it has hired three new national business development managers as a part of its Security Solutions Business Unit.

Among the new hires include Grant Barnes, managed security services, Chris Payne, integrated security solutions, and Taylor Carr, Southeast U.S.

Barnes formerly served as regional sales director at NetVersant Solutions. According to a statement, he will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives within the company’s managed security services division. Payne, a former executive with Systems Development Integration, will be responsible for business development and sales within the integrated security solutions group. Carr, a former national accounts executive with FireKing Security Group, has been with Siemens since 2008 and will help create and implement business plans in the Southeast region.

"Grant, Chris and Taylor all bring a high degree of business development acumen and security industry expertise to the team," said Carey P. Boethel, CPP, vice president and business unit head for the company’s Security Solutions Business Unit. "These three appointments demonstrate Siemens’ ongoing commitment to thought leadership within the security industry and our willingness to invest in driving strategic growth in our newly formed MSS and ISS businesses."
