FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – SOLON, Ohio, USA, May 2009 – Every installer knows how frustrating it can be when cables are pushed or pulled out of a location during the drywall phase. To resolve this situation, ERICO has developed an innovative cable support to maintain the 1-1/4” spacing from the face of the stud that is required by the NEC.
Suitable for both non-metallic sheathed cables and MC/AC cables, the CER4, part of the CADDY line of fasteners, is the next generation of the popular CJ6 cable support. The CER4 has a variety of unique features, including flared edges to help prevent damage to the cable jacket and a “stop-bend” design, which help keep the cables centered and accounts for overcompensation by preventing them from being pushed too far from the face of the stud.
The CER4 features a patent-pending design and is cULus Listed. It can support up to four MC/AC cables or four 12-3 non-metallic sheathed cables with ground.
