Following the death of John Siedlarz in April, the National Biometric Security Project (NBSP) announced this week that it has named Rick Gill as the company’s new CEO.
As the former vice president and chief operating officer of French & Company, Gill assisted in securing the initial government funding that helped launch NBSP in 2003. In addition, Gill has served as executive director of the International Electronic Manufacturers and Consumers of America (IEMCA) and the International Biometric Industry Association (IBIA).
“John Siedlarz leaves behind a robust foundation for NBSP to continue to advance the utilization of biometrics as a means of further securing national security and personal identity,” Gill said in a prepared statement. “I am excited to have the opportunity to take the company to the next level.”
