Tri-Ed IP trainings receive positive feedback

Tri-Ed’s 2010 IP Video Tech Tour is being met with rave reviews. The training classes, which cover the basics of networking, IP video and network video recording, as well as IP configuration, are giving dealers and integrators precisely what they need to transition successfully to the IP market.

Tri-Ed and many key suppliers kicked off the tour in January and have been making stops at Tri-Ed branches across the US and Canada. The class is being offered at every Tri-Ed branch location throughout 2010.
Attendees are learning all things IP and gaining the skills they need to confidently set up a small to medium network. Arming themselves with IP know-how is enabling more and more dealers and integrators to successfully migrate to - and compete in - this exploding market.

Jeff Stout, Tri-Ed’s Business Development Manager, is teaching the classes and notes that dealers are very interested in the simplicity of the new IP cameras and the ease of hook up. Networking topics dealers are most interested in learning about, he says, include Megapixel (HD) video surveillance, network architecture, and Network Video software.

Travis Morgia of STAT Communications in Watertown, NY recently attended the Buffalo, NY training and came away with a lot of practical technical information he could put to work. "Tri-Ed’s IP video tour was fantastic,” he says. “Jeff Stout gave a great presentation on basic networking that was informative as well as entertaining. And you couldn't ask for a better group of vendor presentations. Many thanks to Tri-Ed for a great day.”

The IP Tech Tour will continue throughout 2010 and is testament to Tri-Ed’s commitment to training its customers on changing technologies. The company has consistently served its customers and the life safety security sector longer than any other distributor in the industry.
