VES' eMatrix fire panel.
King of Prussia, PA, - VES, a pioneer in the fire and life safety industry and provider of a world-class Fire Detection Systems, announces the release of the eMatrix, our new graphic annunciator panel that is customizable.
“This eMatrix graphic annunciator is appealing because it focuses on the latest technologies utilizing flexible fiber optic light pipe guides,” said Andy Johannsen, Director of Sales, VES. “The contractor can now install, program and even modify the eMatrix before the floor plan is finalized. The contractor can customize the eMatrix on location.”
The eMatrix uses flexible fiber optic light guides to illuminate areas on a floor plan, laid over a high resolution grid. This unique system is a complete departure of old wiring requirements and enables indicators to be moved, removed or added on site without the need for any wiring or relays.
Light indicators boards are available in Red, Yellow or Green. They may be programmed using zones or through a variety of cause and effect scenarios. Controls at the bottom of the eMatrix allow the users to enter the command modes with a function key: functionality for alarm silence, sounder silence or reset become available. The user may also test all of the indicators without any disturbance to the system.
The eMatrix is available in three standard size enclosures or can be supplied in a custom enclosure with colors to match the eLAN fire control panels. Based upon the size of the enclosure (in standard configurations), each eMatrix can handle 24, 56 or 88 light guides. A total of 504 light guides can be supported by each eLAN control panel. Each of the enclosures can accept full color or monochrome floor plans. The floor plans can be printed by VES can produce the plan from a supplied image or CAD file. In either case, the panel can be installed, programmed and operational without having the actual floor plan. The graphics plan is inserted, the light pipes are moved as needed and the installation is complete. eMatrix annunciator panels are easily modified by moving, adding or removing light guides from the floor plan.
Multiple eMatrix panels may be used on an installation either connected to the same panel or a networked panel. The eMatrix easily connects to the panel through the 2-wire serial bus, and requires 24v power from a listed source. The eMatrix is both UL 864 ninth edition listed and FM approved with the eLAN panel.
