OPGAL introduces new thermal imaging engine

OPGAL (Israel) is introducing a new, ultra-compact thermal imaging engine with low power consumption and affordable price. The COMPACT EYE engine is capable of providing an excellent long wave infrared image with less than 0.080°c sensitivity while consuming as little as 1.4 Watt. Its miniature features make it the ideal solution for portable IR applications and for thermal camera integrators when the critical factors are space, weight and power.

The new COMPACT EYE engine is based on a state-of-the-art 384 x 288, uncooled 8-14μ microbolometer detector with a 25 micron pitch.

With its modular design, the COMPACT EYE features powerful, fully-tested proprietary algorithms proven effective in poor visibility conditions. It has anti-blooming mechanism and user-friendly interface software. In addition, the camera has electronic zoom x2 x4, high-resolution graphics software and flexible signal processing capabilities.

With its night vision capabilities the COMPACT EYE OEM engine is the ultimate security solution for surveillance and protection of national borders, airport perimeters and other sensitive sites.

In the industrial and safety markets, the COMPACT EYE infrared thermal engine can be integrated into predictive maintenance applications and fire detection systems.
