Aigis Mechtronics introduces stainless steel camera housings

Dec. 3, 2008
Housings designed to perform under harsh environmental conditions

Aigis Mechtronics high-grade, stainless steel housings are specially designed to perform in sensitive environments and under harsh industrial conditions such as food processing, biomedical facilities and salt water environments.

Constructed of 300-grade stainless steel, the units are resistant to harsh chemicals, both acidic and alkaline and are available in pressurized versions for added protection of the camera and lens. The internal mounting cradle can be rotated 360 degrees to square the camera when wall mounting and the front cap contains a glass viewing window with an integrated heater option that minimizes fogging or freezing in high humidity or cold temperature conditions. IP network wiring configurations include a 12-pin connector pre-wired to accommodate Cat5e and Cat6.

Aigis’ trademark customization ability provides for the housings to be sold individually or as complete plug-and-play solutions including a variety of pre-wired camera, lens and heater combinations installed in the housing. These units can also be configured with specialized video transmission modules such as fiber and unshielded twisted pair (UTP). Other standard options include a choice of connector types and front viewing windows.
