Veteran integrator Marty McMillan killed in boating accident

Westbury, N.Y. - December 3, 2008 - Marty L. McMillan, veteran security integration executive and president of Intelli-Tec Security Services, died Sunday, November 30, in a boating accident while fishing in Block Island Sound, off the coast of Montauk, N.Y.

McMillan, 51, had over 30 years of experience in the security industry and was president of one of the largest security integrators in New York. Located in Westbury, Intelli-Tec Security Services was ranked 55th in SDM's top 100 list. The company provided security solutions for companies located in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and was twice selected as a GE "Strategic Partner of the Year". Intelli-Tec recently became a member of Security-Net, an international organization of leading, independently owned security system integrators.

McMillan was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. He was also a martial arts instructor and an excellent marksman with a bow and arrow. McMillan is survived by his wife, Nancy, brother, Matt, and son, Cody, 16.
