Veracity, the leader in connectivity and transmission solutions for IP Video, has announced the appointment of Chad Cooper as its new Vice President of Business Development.
Veracity has continued to grow its US operations with the appointment of Chad Cooper as its first VP of Business Development. Chad has significant experience within the security industry having previously worked as a director at ACTi USA. Chad was responsible for establishing the US operation from a standing start in 2005 to achieving USD sales in eight figures by 2009. During this period, he built up a team of 28 employees and was personally responsible for a $1.6 million sale of surveillance equipment to twelve State of Hawaii international airports.
Chad has held senior sales management roles for a host of leading IP video vendors including Northern Computers and recording specialist NICE Systems. Chad’s appointment strengthens the expanding Veracity USA team led by CEO Scott Sereboff. Chad will be based in Seattle, Washington State to provide geographic coverage for the Pacific Coast, to complement Veracity’s main US operation in Houston, Texas.
Veracity is predicting 60% sales growth for 2010 as it launches a range of new innovative IP connectivity products as well as a new, patented data storage system designed specifically for the surveillance industry. COLDSTORE uses LAID (Linear Array of Idle Disks) technology to store data sequentially, to minimise read/write head wear and vibration, improve disk reliability, file access and dramatically reduce energy usage. Since its preview at ISC West in April, COLDSTORE has generated significant levels of interest on both sides of the Atlantic.
Alastair McLeod, managing director, Veracity UK Limited, commented: "We are very pleased to welcome Chad to Veracity. He brings long and very relevant experience to the team, is very well known and highly respected within the security industry, and has a great track record of success. We know that Chad will fully exploit the potential of our ever-expanding product line-up and build on the partnerships and relationships we have created which will enable us to achieve our growth targets for this year and beyond."
Scott Sereboff, CEO, Veracity USA Inc., commented: "Everybody in the security industry will know about Chad’s exceptional achievements at ACTi and his previous roles. His arrival at Veracity is great news. We welcome Chad to the growing Veracity team and wish him every success."
Chad Cooper, VP of business development, Veracity USA, commented: "Veracity is well known across the USA for its exceptional innovation and creativity to solve IP connectivity issues and COLDSTORE is set to bring data storage for IP surveillance into a new dimension. I am proud to be joining Veracity as it has such strong potential and I look forward to ensuring growth is delivered."
