United Protection Security Group wins pipeline contracts

Canadian security firm awarded more than $1.5M to protect pipeline construction projects
United Protection Security Group Inc., a Canadian based company, trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, says it has been awarded two major oil pipeline construction projects valued in excess of $1.5 million.

The projects commenced in September 2008 and are expected to continue into mid 2010. The first project involves providing security services for the construction of a 36 inch diameter pipe to transport oil from Hardisty, Alberta through Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The second pipeline project involves providing security services for the construction of several hundred miles of pipeline across northern Alberta.

The security requirements for both projects involve security personnel in camps as well as the provision of vehicle patrols.
