Gemini integrates all security monitoring functions into one system

Bold Gemini is the all new integrated security management software solution from Bold Communications. Based on Bold’s 27 years experience in the ARC business and the requirements of their clients in the UK and overseas, Gemini supports alarm monitoring to BS: 5979 Cat II as well as integration of dispersed CCTV surveillance, access control, lone worker and tracking based services. The new system is designed so that all security monitoring functions can be handled within one system, meaning there is only one database to up-date, one system for your operators to learn how to use and one standard reporting engine.

The Gemini design philosophy is complexity made simple – because it enables client’s data and signalling information to be handled intelligently but with ease and efficiency. The user interface is based around Microsoft’s Vista design and dispenses with icons, trees and drop-down menus, many of which are typically never used in the Control Room. Everything on the workstation screen is designed to be contextual to the task being carried out so that a non-specialist alarm handling operator can instantly understand what functionality is being presented.

Not only does Bold Gemini have a pretty face. The software has been designed and developed from scratch using leading development tools, to handle the expanding assortment of third party monitoring applications. The software supports multiple receiver types, for example, BT Redcare, Honeywell Galaxy IP and RX3000 digi receivers, and can process multiple alarm signals at a staggeringly high rate. Support for remote CCTV monitoring systems, like Adpro and Dedicated Micros NetVu, and interfaces to a wide range of third party security applications combine to create an advanced monitoring solution.

Bold Managing Director Brian Kelly commented "We have created Gemini specifically to add value to our customer’s monitoring operation by saving the labour and technical resources required to run an efficient security monitoring operation, at the same time as adding an array of innovations. Initial customer feedback suggests that the Bold designers have got it absolutely spot on."
