Web site simplifies ribbon, cleaning kit selection for ID card printers

Eagle Technologies, one of the UK’s leading distributors of ID products, has announced the launch of whichribbon.com, a comprehensive ribbon reference guide for the extensive range of desktop card printers sold by the company.

Designed for speed and ease of use, whichribbon.com enables dealers to quickly and simply see precisely which ribbons and cleaning kits are suitable for the many different card printers stocked by Eagle Technologies. These include key brands such as Evolis, Javelin, Zebra, Fargo, Magicard and DNP. Customers simply go to the relevant printer, either by looking at the contents page or doing a word search, and the full list of ribbons and cleaning kits are detailed under each product, making the ordering process quick and convenient.

In addition, the guide contains useful details throughout its 200 plus pages of other Eagle services including Complete-ID and its exclusive Revolution Range, Eagle Leasing, support and training.

Whichribbon.com is available free of charge to Eagle dealers by following the simple registration process on Eagles's Web site at www.eagletechnologies.co.uk; the document can then be download for free. To ensure customers have the latest version of this unique guide, registered users will be notified by email of subsequent editions, which are expected every month.

"This is the first time that any independent card printer supplier has undertaken this immense task," explains Chris Rayner, managing director of Eagle Technologies. "To collate and confirm this information has taken considerable effort and resources, especially when you bear in mind the hundreds of card printers from numerous manufacturers that we stock. But we believe in adding value to our services and whichribbon.com does just that for our customers; never before has it been so easy for dealers to select ribbons for their ID card printers."

"We will also shortly be launching a whichribbon.com web site which will contain even more features," Rayner added. "Once again, Eagle Technologies is leading the way in this field with product and customer support."
