Vista Releases RoHS Compliant Pan and Tilt Units

Video surveillance models available with or without presets, pans 0 to 350

Aug 16 2007, Reading, UK - Vista has announced that new RoHS compliant pan and tilt units are now available. There are three models: two 230V units – one with and one without presets – and a 24V DC option with presets.

[Editor's Note: RoHS restricts certain hazardous substances in electronic devices. According to the UK Government's National Weights and Measure Laboratory, which enforces RoHS compliance in the UK, specific materials that are restricted include "lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants."]

Pan and tilts allow installers to use camera and lens options, using larger zoom lenses with a zoom capability of, for example, 10-200mm. This is far greater than most speed domes on the market which are currently restricted to less than 100mm.

A pan movement of 0 to 350 degrees and a tilt of 12 to -90 degrees means that the units provide full coverage, while the high speed DC pan/tilt movement makes them ideal for tracking people.
