Eden Prairie, MN — January 2, 2007 — IdentiSys Inc. Vice President of Operations Debra R. Ferril has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of the company, effective immediately, IdentiSys Inc. announced today.
Ms. Ferril will replace Michael R. Shields, who will remain chairman and chief executive officer of the company he founded in 1999. She will be responsible for all operations including sales, marketing, administration, service, and support as well as finance and strategic corporate functions.
Since joining IdentiSys in 2002, Ms. Ferril has established a distribution company, helped lead strategic acquisitions including CompuCard and Southwest Datacom, and been instrumental in delivering over 20% annual revenue growth. Post-acquisitions, she implemented a migration of five separate inventory and accounting systems into one enterprise system.

Deb has been successful in her ability to anticipate market trends and the needs of our customers. This change, along with the recent addition of Joe Wright to head our sales organization, completes our management restructuring and positions IdentiSys for continued leadership in the identification industry."
Ms. Ferril has over 30 years experience in sales, marketing, product development and accounting and over 15 years experience in the identification industry. Prior to IdentiSys, Ms. Ferril spent 11 years at Datacard in various sales and marketing roles including director of marketing for Datacard identification solutions, director of distribution development and global head of solution sales. Before Datacard, Ms. Ferril spent 14 years in sales and marketing at CPT Corporation, a leading developer of desktop computing and office automation systems.

Mr. Shields will concentrate on the company's long term business plan including acquisitions and other forms of expansion. He will also lead corporate legal matters, be involved with key strategic vendor and customer relationships, and serve as a Board member of the Identification Systems Group (ISG), a nationwide network of the leading suppliers for identification and card issuing products and services.
