Crisis-management veteran Mark Harris to lead team of response consultants

HOUSTON, TEXAS, December 10, 2007 – ASI Global, LLC, a kidnap and ransom response service provider for insured and uninsured clients worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Harris as Global Team Leader designate, effective January 1, 2008. Harris, based in London, will oversee ASI Global’s team of response consultants strategically located around the globe.

“We are extremely pleased to have a leader of this caliber join our global team,” said Tim Maystrik, CEO. “Mark has worked vigorously in the crisis-management field to develop strong communications, negotiator and analytical experience. This appointment is just another step in enhancing ASI Global’s position in the risk-management arena.” Harris brings more than 27 years of experience to ASI. He comes to ASI from College Hill & Associates, London, where he directed the crisis and issues management division. During the past seven years, Harris held similar positions with Burson-Marsteller and Control Risks in London. Previously, he worked as a general manager for Control Risks in Mexico and as consultant and operations manager in Control Risks’ Response Services group. Harris served in the British Army for 14 years, working in the United Kingdom, Germany, Cyprus, Northern Ireland and Cambodia. Among his military career highlights, he successfully negotiated the safe release of a military observer team and himself from the Khmer Rouge in 1992. Over the years, Harris has been involved in numerous kidnap and extortion response cases. He advocates crisis management as a cultural security issue, one that requires a corporation to embrace all elements of the organization and involve working groups from corporate affairs, security and operations. As Global Team Leader, Harris will head the team of regional experts from bases in the United Kingdom, North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific. He will assign and oversee ASI’s Global cases and work directly with members of the operational support staff at the company’s Houston headquarters. ASI Global, LLC provides a variety of global risk-management services geared toward preventing and responding to events related to kidnap and ransom, illegal detentions and extortion. These services include consulting, training, investigations and evacuation management.
