Dates Announced for CardTech/SecureTech 2007

Dec. 6, 2006
Healthcare track and CEO Summit added to program for May 15-17, 2007

NEW YORK - Dec. 6, 2006 - SourceMedia announced today that its 17th Annual CardTech/SecurTech (CTST) Conference and Exhibition will be held May 15 - 17, 2007 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif. CTST is North America's largest card technology conference and exhibition covering secure payment transactions and IT and physical access security.

New this year is the CEO Summit, which kicks off the event and is open to all exhibit hall and conference attendees. The summit brings together top executives from major card manufacturers in a moderated discussion on the market for speedy, secure transactions based on advanced card technologies.

Also new this year is a healthcare track, with sessions exploring how card technologies make complicated transactions involving sensitive data simple, secure and less costly for the industry.

"Agenda topics will focus on tried and true ways to combat real life challenges in payments and security," said Bill Rutledge, program development manager, SourceMedia Conferences & Exhibitions. "Each day, attendees will be introduced to major challenges, potential solutions, and real world case studies on key topics affecting technology, transactions, identities and security."

The CTST conference agenda is divided along two market segments, CardTech and SecurTech, to give attendees two conferences; one large event. Advanced technologies for both sectors will be on display in one large exhibit hall.

The CardTech agenda theme is "Building on Contactless Transactions, Payment Technologies, Strategies, and Markets." Highlights of CardTech include in-depth discussion of contactless payment technology and security from industry leaders, as well as presentations on advances in point-of-sale terminals, near field communications and mobile payment technologies.

The SecurTech agenda theme is "Identity Management for Access Convergence, Identity and Security Technologies, Strategies, and Markets." Front and center at SecurTech is convergence of access to physical locations and IT networks, as well as presentations from leading practitioners and technologists on up and coming security technologies, new ways to combat identity theft and fraud, "cybersecurity," and biometrics. The conference kicks off Tuesday, May 15th at 9 a.m., with the Card Technology Breakthrough awards and keynote luncheon starting at noon. [Please note that the lunch is only open to conference attendees. The CEO Summit is open to all attendees]. The exhibition hall hours are Tuesday, 3:30-7:30pm; Wednesday, 10am-5:30pm, and Thursday 10am-3pm. Program details and registration information are available at www.ctst.com.
