Video surveillance storage offering helps casinos realize cost savings

HOUSTON -- Pivot3 Inc, the inventor of High-Definition Storage, will exhibit the award-winning Pivot3 High-Definition Storage solution at the Southern Gaming Summit in Biloxi, Miss., May 7-8, 2008, at the Pivot3 booth #344. Pivot3 storage has been implemented as part of large video surveillance deployments by casinos throughout the country, reducing their storage infrastructure costs by as much as 50 percent while increasing scalability for future growth.

The High-Definition Storage from Pivot3 is a clustered storage array, aggregating capacity and bandwidth using the company’s RAIGE (RAID across Gigabit Ethernet) architecture. The Pivot3 solution stores twice the video and supports up to sixteen times the data streams of traditional modular storage systems, adding a higher level of data protection across multiple networked storage nodes, called Databanks. The Databanks are built using industry-standard x86 servers and disk drives, and are connected via common Gigabit Ethernet.
