Integrator using Arecont's IP megapixel cameras

GLENDALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arecont Vision, the industry leader in megapixel IP camera technology, and American Digital Security (ADS), a leading systems integration firm in Kansas City, Mo., share the same vision for the future of video surveillance systems technology. It's a vision built on a combination of high resolution megapixel camera technology, supported by advanced network based operating systems. As an equipment manufacturer and a systems integrator on the same technology driven path, the melding of these two companies' resources was just a matter of time.

"Our two companies continue to evolve and expand based upon emerging market trends and technological advancements," said Steven Sarfati, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Arecont Vision. "ADS has been an advocate of new IP networked system solutions from Arecont Vision. Our industry leading approach to megapixel camera design, performance and functionality caught their attention early, and ADS has been a loyal supporter since. We greatly appreciate their business and value the relationship between our companies."

Arecont Vision offers the industry's leading line of megapixel cameras including models that feature 360ÅŸ and 180ÅŸ panoramic imaging, Day/Night operation with single and multiple sensors, vandal resistant dome systems and newly introduced H.264 series cameras.

"Arecont Vision's megapixel cameras deliver the performance and features sets we need to implement progressive IP system designs," said Lawrence Leiker, Director of Business Development, American Digital Security. "We have won several projects based on the innovative capabilities networked systems offer versus their conventional analog counterparts. Arecont Vision's megapixel cameras continue to play a significant role in our ability to fully capitalize on new IP system models as a result of their outstanding imaging performance. It's this type of technology that allows ADS to deliver solutions with added value and help clearly differentiate us from the competition."

ADS recently featured Arecont Vision's IP megapixel cameras at the National Law Enforcement Training Center Expo to highlight the benefits of new IP systems. Advantageous in most Law Enforcement installations, Arecont Vision's cameras were implemented to demonstrate ease of installation over a CAT-5 network connection. Additionally, the HD quality performance of the cameras is highly desirable for identification applications in correctional facilities.

The Union Missouri School District is one of the many high profile IP video surveillance systems implemented by ADS that employ Arecont Vision's megapixel cameras. The school district's system includes 1.3, 3 and 8 MP Arecont Vision cameras installed at the district's Elementary Schools, Middle School and High School.

Under the guidance of ADS, Arecont Vision cameras were also added to the advanced IP megapixel security solution at the Diamond Pet Foods Plant in Meta, Missouri. In the wake of a national pet food contamination scare, Diamond added Arecont Vision megapixel cameras for perimeter and indoor surveillance.

Other high profile IP video surveillance solutions by ADS featuring Arecont Vision's megapixel cameras are the Kansas City Power & Light Authority and Emprise Banks.

"Given their unyielding support of megapixel imaging technology and their tremendous expertise with security systems integration, we are pleased with our cooperation with ADS," concluded Mr. Sarfati.
