ObjectVideo showcases interoperability and new product features

April 3, 2008
Company CTO also to share expertise at conference session

OV Ready will be the main focus of the ObjectVideo booth (# 16103). Announced at ASIS last September, OV Ready is an XML-based intelligent video network protocol that standardizes ObjectVideo analytic rule, alert and configuration communications. By creating a common way to exchange information between intelligent devices (ObjectVideo OnBoard partners) and enterprise video management systems (OV Ready partners), these essential components become interoperable in the handling of rules, alerts, count data, forensics metadata and more. The result is a network of intelligent, ObjectVideo-enabled partners, which allows system integrators and end customers to pick and choose components that best meet business objectives, while seamlessly delivering powerful ObjectVideo capabilities. OV Ready partners include Genetec, Instek Digital, Lenel, Metrotech, Nuuo, Orsus, Proximex, Salient Systems, ViaLogy and VidSys.

Intelligent Solution Showcase

Manufacturers and technology providers who are part of the ObjectVideo OnBoard program, which enables original equipment manufacturers to easily integrate intelligent video analytics software into their own devices, will feature live demonstrations of the latest intelligent video products and solutions in the Intelligent Solution Showcase (booth # 15097). The Showcase is a featured component of ObjectVideo's presence at ISC West. Participants include Pelco, ClearSite, DigiOp, Harris, eInfochips, HIKvision, Lumenera, MangoDSP, Phoenix IVS, TeraMage, Texas Instruments and Verint.

Beyond the Exhibit Floor

Dr. Alan Lipton, ObjectVideo's CTO, will share his expertise through his participation in the following ISC West conference session:

Thursday, April 3, 10:00 am – 11:00 am
SU1: Video Surveillance Leaders Discuss Convergence and Proactive Situation Management

To make the shift from simply reacting to instituting a proactive situation management stance, today's innovative security operations centers are investing in integrated physical and IT security systems. Advancements in technology are dictating updates to existing infrastructure to take advantage of new capabilities in physical and virtual security and surveillance technologies - from cameras and alarms, to access control and digital video recording systems. This panel of surveillance technology experts will discuss top security convergence challenges and steps to ensuring a more proactive view of situation management, while providing examples of today's most successful, advanced and consolidated operations centers.

ISC West 2008 is being held April 2-4 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. The Intelligent Solution Showcase will be open to attendees during exhibit hours which begin each day at 10 am.
