    Altronix showcases new Hubway Series UTP transceiver hubs

    The new series of products provide a variety of models that transmit video and RS422/RS485 data over a single CAT-5 or higher structured cable

    Las Vegas, NV (April 2, 2008) – Altronix Corporation is showcasing its expanded line of UTP Transceiver Hubs compatible with AC and/or DC fixed or PTZ cameras here at ISC West. The enhanced line now includes the HubWay, HubWayLD, HubWayLDH and HubSat UTP Transceiver Hubs. The new series of products provide a variety of models that transmit video and RS422/RS485 data over a single CAT-5 or higher structured cable to simplify video surveillance installations. Units are available with or without integral power for video transmission distances ranging from 750 to 3000 feet.

    Hubway Passive UTP Transceiver Hubs with integral power provide centralized UTP video, RS422/RS485 data and distributed camera power over a single CAT 5 or higher cable. The new Hubway8/8S and Hubway16 offer 8 or 16 video channels respectively with video transmission over twisted pair for distances up to 750 feet. The power for each channel is individually selectable 24VAC or 28VAC with an OFF position. Models are available with external blade fuses or PTC protection. Individual power LEDs are also provided for each channel. Designed in a space saving 1U rack mount chassis that fits standard 19” EIA racks, the units can be rack, wall or shelf mounted.

    HubWayLD Active UTP Transceiver Hubs with integral power transmit UTP video, RS422/RS485 data and distributed camera power over a single CAT 5 or higher cable with video transmission up to 3000 feet. The new HubwayLD8/8S and HubwayLD16 also include all the other features of the Hubway UTP Passive Transceiver Hubs.

    New HubWayLDH active transceiver hubs are also available with all the features of the HubWayLD without integral camera power.

    Altronix's new HubSat4 Passive UTP Transceiver Hub with integral camera power transmits UTP video, RS422/RS485 data and power over a single CAT-5 or higher structured cable. Unit provides 4 camera channels in a wall mount enclosure. Video transmission range is up to 750 feet. The power for each channel is individually selectable 24VAC or 28VAC with an OFF position. Models are available with external blade fuses or PTC protection.

    Optionally, the HubSat4 can be utilized to transmit video from up to 4 cameras over a single CAT-5 or higher structured cable back to any HubWay or HubWayLD UTP Transceiver Hub. In this configuration, the HubSat4 will provide power to these cameras locally eliminating the possibility of voltage drop associated with long cable runs.

    UL listing has been applied for all HubWay Series products.
