Provides eyes everywhere and flexible expansion

Torrance, CA, April 2, 2008 – AMAG Technology’s Symmetry Video provides customers with a video solution perfect for any size application. AMAG’s Video Management System provides advanced capabilities, including Symmetry Video Management software and Symmetry Edge Network Video Server (ENVS). Symmetry is an open video management platform for video servers, digital video recorders and IP cameras.

The edge-based video solution allows users to store video activity and forward it at their convenience. This saves valuable bandwidth which can be at a premium during a busy work day.

Users can preserve their technology investment and migrate to an IP camera solution when ready, therefore future-proofing their security management system. Symmetry’s mix and match approach to hardware allows existing CCTV infrastructure to reside seamlessly with IP devices.

Symmetry Video integrates with IP cameras from Bosch, Panasonic, Axis, Sony, Arecont and IQinvision to provide customers with a best-in-breed choice for camera viewing and flexibility.

In the event of an alarm, pre-set PTZ cameras swing immediately to view the event in question. Security officers can respond appropriately after viewing the live video, often preventing a problem before it occurs.

Symmetry Video’s enhanced recording features allow users to record video seconds before and after an event rather than in complete minutes.

For large companies, guards can view a second virtual matrix on a PC providing a maximum of 72 cameras displayed on a screen. The system can be programmed to have video alarms pop up on the computer screen to give guards a better view.

The rack mounted Symmetry ENVS provides eight channels of MPEG-4 in a 1U enclosure. The rack mountable ENVS optimizes precious rack space while providing easy installation and connectivity to network and video communications.
