DX-TL4516U DVR offers advanced features in unit slated for 'mid-market' category

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — June 15, 2006 — Bringing high-end performance and intuitive ease of use to the mid market category, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America today introduced its 16-channel DX-TL4516 Digital Video Recorder with built-in multiplexer for simultaneous live and record viewing. The new slim-line DX-TL4516 features an included CD/DVD drive, motion detection and JPEG 2000 compression, and is ideally suited for 24/7 digital video surveillance in a wide array of applications where quality video performance and bulletproof reliability are required.

Other features of the network-ready DX-TL4516U include pan/tilt/zoom control of dome cameras, long pre-alarm recording, up to one terabyte (TB) internal storage capacity with optional seven TB external storage, mirroring functionality, alarm partitions and emergency recording. The Linux-based DX-TL4516U also boasts user-friendly GUI menus for easy recording set-up and image management. The unit features synchronous audio recording and remote monitoring via the Web or a PC running Mitsubishi's DX-PC55U remote software.

Mitsubishi's DX-TL4516U comes with a five-year limited warranty and its industry-renowned Emergency Replacement Assistance that provides 24-hour replacement product in the event of specific system failure. Optional accessories include the DX-ZD5UE HDD extension unit for additional storage up to seven terabytes, and a DX-KBUE security controller keyboard.
