Port of Corpus Christi will be largest SiteIQ deployment to date

With growing concerns over infrastructure security and access to grant funds from the Department of Homeland Security, Officials with the Port of Corpus Christi recently decided to overhaul their entire surveillance system and chose Siemens Building Technologies for the upgrade project.

Using Siemen’s Siveillance SiteIQ software, port authorities will be able to monitor the nearly 6,700 ships and 90 million tons of cargo that flow through the facility each year with one comprehensive interface.

When completed, the project, which calls for the installation of more than 80 new cameras to a preexisting 130 camera network, the Port of Corpus Christi will be the largest deployment of SiteIQ to date and will also be one of the largest video analytics-based surveillance systems in the country, according to a statement issued by the company.
