Picodome, PTZ color dome and color minidome now in line-up

Dallmeier launched the world's first high-performance UWDR Picodome DDF3000APV with Cam_inPIX technology at IFSEC 2007, to a rapturous reception from customers and industry analysts. "Thanks to its Cam_inPIX DPS technology the Picodome is the world's first minidome capable of delivering a picture quality normally only achieved with much larger cameras", claims James Walker, Dallmeier UK's Managing Director.

Other cameras new to IFSEC this year were the PTZ colour dome (DDZ3032SA) and the DDF3000A3 colour minidome with tri-axis adjustment. In total, Dallmeier's Cam_inPIX range of high-resolution cameras and domes now features 14 models. Dallmeier's complete range of IP solutions and the DMS "In Memory of Leonardo" series of digital video recorders utilizing H.264 compression also made a big impact with IFSEC visitors.

Picodome DDF3000APV: The world's smallest vandal-resistant dome with Cam_inPIX technology

With a housing diameter of just 80mm (IP 66 vandal-resistant) and a dome cover measuring just 57mm (polycarbonate), the Picodome offers users a highly discreet security solution. "But its small size is not its only quality", explains James Walker, Managing Director of Dallmeier (UK) Limited. "The performance of the DDF3000APV is truly outstanding both in terms of picture quality and camera functionality".

The ultra high dynamic range of the camera (up to 120 dB) with its high-resolution sensor technology (540 TVL, 720x540 pixels) provides clear, colour-true and detailed pictures at all times, without any blooming or smearing.

Features of the Picodome include 1/3" DPS picture sensor with a fixed lens (F1.4/3.6mm) and light sensitivity of < 0.5 Lux. Field of view at 1/3" is D = 110ø, H = 83.2ø, V = 61.6ø. Image transfer rate is 50 fps (PAL); 60 fps (NTSC). To save installation time, the DDF3000APV features a simple to use push-point-and-lock function, which enables the engineer to configure the camera to point in any required direction.

Other features include Progressive Scan, backlight compensation, AGC, Gamma correction, signal to noise ratio of >48 dB and a slow shutter speed of up to 8x. Seven presets are available: Universal, Details 1, Details 2, Indoor/Shadow, Indoor, Fluorescent and Low Light. The DDF3000APV features both colour and black/white modes. Configuration is remote using Dallmeier's UTC functions.

"The Picodome is an ideal addition to the Dallmeier range of domes and cameras", says James Walker. "The DDF3000APV offers an excellent price/performance ratio for a large scale of applications, such as the diverse retail sector with its need for discreet, high-performance solutions."
