IPIX cameras will protect vulnerable infrastructure in Sweden

RESTON, Va.--May 9, 2006--IPIX Corporation, a premier supplier of advanced, 360-degree visual business intelligence solutions, announced today that its UK partner, NMI Security, has sold IPIX cameras to enhance the surveillance capabilities at the Stockholm Underground. The new system will be one of the most advanced and integrated surveillance networks in the world.

IPIX cameras will be installed throughout the three lines of the Underground to enable security personnel to have complete situational awareness of its transportation system. The IPIX offering is unique because it offers the most comprehensive 360-degree view of the environment, which is digitally recorded. Multiple security personnel are able to simultaneously view the footage--both in real time and forensically without competing with other security officials looking at a different view in the same camera. In choosing IPIX cameras, the Underground is leveraging the benefits of IP based camera systems so that the cameras can be shared locally as well as remotely to command centers with secure access.

"We are very pleased that the security directors at the Stockholm Underground recognize the superior value that 360-degree technology offers," said Clara Conti, IPIX president and CEO. "In this time of terrorism, our transportation systems are very vulnerable. It is imperative that we utilize the best of breed technologies that are at our fingertips."

IPIX solutions provide the most comprehensive surveillance solutions for the transportation industry, with both visible and covert solutions for indoor and outdoor environments. Today's transportation officials are finding that IPIX 360-degree solutions provide lower maintenance costs and improved coverage than their existing surveillance systems.
