American Dynamics solution with embedded ObjectVideo OnBoard offers full-featured video analytics capabilities

San Diego, CA.— September 25, 2006 —Tyco Fire & Security today introduced its new American Dynamics Network Client Intelligent Video Analytics (NCIVA) solution featuring ObjectVideo OnBoard™, the award-winning embedded intelligent video analytics technology.

Combined with Network Client Remote Management Software, the American Dynamics NCIVA allows customers to manage all of their digital video management systems and cameras from one intuitive interface. This unique combination enables users to perform the most exacting video analysis and determine if objects, for example, cross a video tripwire, enter a specified area of interest or simply appear in the camera view.

"ObjectVideo is highly regarded in the industry for their exceptional video analytics solutions and commitment to quality and innovation," said Don Lyman, vice president of Tyco Fire & Security's Access Control and Video Systems. "Our alliance will provide a powerful combination of video analytics and centralized video management. With this powerful application, security officials can gain early warnings and critical insight into potentially harmful situations."

This innovative system accurately detects, identifies, and tracks activities that violate video system rules and notifies security personnel in real time. This is a powerful resource in security-critical applications such as railways or airports where authorities must be alerted instantly if a bag is left unattended or if a person is loitering in an entrance.

Other ideal situations for video analytics include:

- Keeping children within a school's perimeter
- Ensuring a ship that is entering a port is not traveling too quickly or slowly
- Creating a secure rail corridor for border crossing
- Monitoring activity within a retail environment

ObjectVideo technology is mature and robust and has a strong track record of success across the wide variety of industries. Combined with the Network Client interface, organizations can take advantage of this sophisticated layer of intelligence with any Intellex® digital video management system or MegaPower® matrix switcher on the network.

"By partnering with Tyco Fire and Security, we continue to meet the growing demand for intelligent video solutions with a superior and cost-effective product offering that significantly reduces risk and enhances security" said Brian Eckert, Vice President Sales and Marketing of ObjectVideo, Inc. "Delivering video analytics through American Dynamics Network Client remote management software dramatically improves an organization's ability to catch problems before they spiral out of control—all from within an intuitive interface that lets you control your DVRs and cameras."

By adding an American Dynamics NCIVA, existing American Dynamics customers can quickly benefit from this intelligent video solution by upgrading Network Client with no need to swap out their digital video management system.
