Benefits of the system include superior live video images, dramatically improved recording rates and images, event-driven accelerated response recording and internal storage capacity up to 2 TB.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – Rapid Eye Multi-Media DSP

The Rapid Eye Multi-Media DSP is a high-performance system (480/400 ips NTSC/PAL), designed to record, search, and transmit video, audio and data transactions while simultaneously providing users with both live and post event evaluation. The system accepts input from physical sensors and security hardware devices on its 16 Alarm Inputs and can automatically trigger devices attached to its 8 Control Outputs. Using the Fault Relay, the system can be connected to onsite alarm panel hardware to signal that the unit has stopped recording. The system can also warn remote operators by signaling an alarm station automatically. It can be easily integrated into an overall physical security system and is extremely useful in providing remote visual identification for live events or recorded evidence of prior events. For retail markets, its built-in data capture capabilities make it extremely useful as a loss prevention analysis tool.

Benefits of the system include superior live video images, dramatically improved recording rates and images, event-driven accelerated response recording and increased internal storage capacity up to 2 TB. Other features include enhanced PTZ control - both locally and remotely - and enhanced PTZ configuration. Expanded hardware capability includes 8 user definable RS232/RS422/RS845 serial ports, which allows direct connection of PTZ telemetry wiring to the unit without the need for separate hardware devices. The additional serial ports also support expanded POS capability of up to 16 data streams. Hierarchal site tree allows user definable grouping of sites and supports multiple levels of nesting within a site branch. The new Rapid Clip feature makes remote clip generation fast and easy.

The system consists of three major components which include: the Recorder Unit (RU), featuring DSP powered real-time recording at CIF resolution and LocalView the local user interface; ADMIN Software, the workstation/server-based administration tool capable of enterprise-wide site and user management; and VIEW Software, a feature-rich, workstation-based remote operator program. The combination of ADMIN and VIEW combined with the DSP powered RU truly differentiates the Rapid Eye system from the competition.
