BEAVERTON, Oregon – IPVS Training as of October becomes the U.S. authorized training and certification partner for Milestone Systems, Inc.

Milestone Systems, the world market leader for open platform IP video surveillance software, has built up a powerful partner channel through certification training on its top-of-the-line product XProtect Enterprise. The training provides customers with better implementations while differentiating the partners in the marketplace for having demonstrated expertise.

IPVS Training is a service being offered by Minneapolis-based n2V media group Inc. - the publisher of IPVS Magazine and IPVS News. IPVS Training will offer its own “H.O.T. Spots”, a monthly hands-on-training program that provides introductory and advanced IP video security training to IT and physical security professionals. Technical college instructors with real world IP video security experience will conduct the sessions. H.O.T. Spot attendees will be trained in ‘5 S’ reference architecture, which includes Surveillance, Switches, Servers, Software, and Storage. The ‘5 S’ reference architecture is based on relevant IT industry standards that all IP video security solutions utilize.

“IPVS Training is providing these services to help accelerate the market adoption of IP video security technology by not only educating, but also providing valuable hands-on-experience,” states Keven Marier, CEO of n2V media group, Inc. “The IPVS Training H.O.T. Spot offering has a natural synergy for Milestone Systems to take advantage of and build upon, using the same expertise to certify their partners with Milestone XProtect training.”

As the only authorized training and certification partner for Milestone Systems in the U.S., IPVS Training will offer XProtect Enterprise training classes monthly around the United States. Additional classes on other Milestone products will be added throughout 2007.

Milestone created the first XProtect Enterprise Certification Program for its channel of authorized partners in 2004 in the USA, and has continued to develop its partner channel with such support in high focus. The certification training has been successfully rolled out to the company’s worldwide network of partners.

“The IPVS Training classes will be offered in conjunction with important industry events around the country, where our professional network is likely to take part – this ensures efficient use of their time, to be able to cover several needs at the same time and place,” adds Eric Fullerton, President of Milestone Systems Inc. “With XProtect Enterprise certification, qualified Milestone partners can implement projects with greater needs, setting themselves apart through network expertise and other value-adding services.”

The qualification process is designed to ensure that customers get successful deployment of Milestone XProtect Enterprise solutions – giving them an official stamp of approval to look for in a partner. By making XProtect Enterprise available exclusively through certified partners, customers receive the most accurate technical advice, the best possible pre- and post-sales support, and the most professional treatment with regards to their Milestone IP video surveillance.
