Verex to Offer Aimetis Open IP-Surveillance Software

SAN DIEGO, ASIS International, Sept. 25, 2006 — Verex Technology and Aimetis Corp. announced today a reseller agreement that will enable Verex to sell Aimetis’ Open IP-Surveillance Software, AIRA 2005, through its current distribution channels. AIRA 2005 will be on display at Verex’s booth, #6035, during the ASIS trade show this week. Verex is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

AIRA 2005 is an advanced Open IP-Surveillance software with integrated video analytics that can detect and prevent threatening events in real-time. A pure software solution, AIRA 2005 simultaneously enables digital video recording from network, mega-pixel and analog devices, intelligent video analysis and remote access to live and recorded images from any networked computer.

AIRA 2005 can also automatically track and classify objects such as cars and people and push content to security personnel as required. Blackberry® handheld support and automated PTZ camera control for zooming in on interesting events without the need for human intervention both keep users up to date while in the field.
