Sept. 25, 2006
Introductions Include Sophisticated PTZ Dome, Fixed Dome And NDR

San Diego, CA (September 25, 2006) – With the introduction of several new IP-based video surveillance products here at ASIS 2006 , Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), continues to expand its successful i-Pro Series and build on its established reputation as an industry leader for networked video surveillance solutions. Panasonic’s i-Pro intelligent and professional IP solutions provide numerous benefits to the user, including lowering TCO and improving efficiency. New i-Pro Series introductions include a highly sophisticated PTZ dome system with Panasonic’s renowned Super Dynamic III (SDIII) technology, a new dual streaming fixed color dome camera and an advanced Network Video Recorder (NVR) with removable drives.

"As the trend towards networked systems continues to grow, Panasonic will further enhance their i-Pro Series with new products that deliver more performance and capabilities,” said Frank DeFina, President, Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA). “The introduction of an IP PTZ dome system with SDIII imaging technology reaffirms Panasonic’s continued leadership role in delivering more advanced systems solutions for IP-based systems.”

Panasonic’s i-Pro Series can facilitate the transition to a networked environment, with easy integration into new and existing analog and digital installations. The i-Pro Series includes PTZ, vandal-proof, fixed, and mini-dome cameras, network video recorders, video servers and more.

New introductions to Panasonic’s i-Pro Series include:

i-Pro WV-NS202 Color Network PTZ Dome Camera brings Super Dynamic III (SDIII) technology to a networked platform. The camera’s SDIII performance provides 128x dynamic range for superior image reproduction in virtually any lighting condition, MJPEG and MPEG-4 dual streaming outputs for simultaneous monitoring and recording at up to 30 fps; 22x optical zoom, Power over Ethernet (PoE), progressive output for smooth reproduction of moving objects, minimum illumination of only 0.7 lux.

i-Pro WV-NF284 Color Network Mini Dome Camera has MPEG-4/JPEG dual-stream output capable of 30 fps, a progressive scan CCD, a 3.6x variable focal lens that operates in light as low as 1.5 lux, and PoE.

i-Pro WJ-ND200 Network Video Recorder is capable of accommodating from 9 to 16 cameras and features a removable hard disk drive for convenient data storage, archiving and data transfer – even while the recorder is on. The NVR is also MPEG-4 and JPEG compatible and features automatic IP address detection when used with Panasonic i-Pro cameras. The WJ-ND200 is a versatile, full-featured IP recording solution in a cost-efficient package.

i-Pro WJ-NT304 MPEG-4/JPEG Video Encoder offers dual streaming from up to four analog cameras with MPEG-4 and JPEG dual-stream output for simultaneous live monitoring and high resolution recording. It is a cost-efficient way to transform legacy analog camera systems into a networked system.

BB-HCM403 Network Dome Camera is an indoor-use PoE network camera. Easy to mount, with Power over Ethernet, this camera is ideal for use in secondary locations, or in small business or residential applications.
