Joanne Arsenault, Implant Sciences' VP of Sales & Marketing-Security Division, stated, "Our newly improved H-150 handheld explosives detection device, using the Company's proprietary Quantum Sniffer technology, is lighter and more compact. We believe the improved features of the H-150 should result in greater ease of maintenance and manufacturing efficiencies. We expect that production costs for the H-150 should be lower, translating into improved margins. ASIS was chosen as the venue for the official product launch as it should provide the Company with exposure to what we believe is the largest gathering of consumers of explosives detection products and technology. We encourage security professionals and the investment community to sign-up for the Exhibit at www.asisonline.org and meet with our Company representatives at booth #1567."
Dr. Anthony J. We believe we can leverage our established distribution channel with a product that should improve the ease of use and reliability for our customers while providing the Company improvements in anticipated gross margins. Over the past year, we have been successful in obtaining approximately $6.1 million in government awards related to explosives detection technology, including the development of a next-generation passenger portal and delivery of devices to detect explosives located in vehicles and remote locations. We believe this should provide us a rich product pipeline that could meet the ever growing security needs by government, military and private sector consumers. We look forward to an exciting fiscal 2007 and continued growth within our security business."
