GVI Security Solutions Names New CFO

Joseph Restivo to head financial controls for integrated security solutions company

GVI Security Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: GVIS), a provider of integrated security solutions incorporating access control, detection and surveillance systems, today announced the appointment of Joseph Restivo as its new chief financial officer effective March 27.

Previously Restivo was an independent consultant providing services in financial and business planning, turnaround assistance and operational management support. From 2000 to 2002, he served as vice president, North American Services and Business Development for the Security Systems Division of Siemens Building Technologies. From 1990 to 1999, Restivo held various positions at Casi-Rusco, a developer and manufacturer of large-scale access control systems. While chief operating officer, he held overall responsibility for business profitability, led sales of solutions to systems integrators worldwide and reorganized and restructured the firm. The company was acquired by General Electric in 1999.

Restivo received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla., and a Masters of Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla.
