EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – September 22, 2006 – Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), the leader in innovative home system control solutions, dominated the awards circuit at CEDIA EXPO 2006 in Denver, Colorado. The company announced today that it came away from the premier tradeshow with a total of five awards for four separate products, making this year’s EXPO the best yet in terms of new product introductions, dealer feedback and accolades.

The prestigious and highly coveted CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Manufacturer’s Excellence Award for Best New Product was awarded to the top-of-the-line T4 Handheld Controller. Additionally, RTI took home two Residential Systems Magazine RESI Awards in the categories of Best Touchscreen or Handheld Remote Control System and Wall Keypad Controller for the T2C and RK3 respectively. Introduced last year, the T3 Handheld Controller received the Custom Retailer Excite Award for Most EXCITING Remote Control based on nominations from the magazine’s readership. Moreover, the flagship T4 Handheld Controller was also recognized by Electronic House Magazine as “Product of the Year.”

“We set out to design the best-in-class controllers to suit a wide variety of consumer needs,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “It’s tremendously gratifying to know that we met the mark across the full product spectrum. But that’s a testament to the excellence of our design and engineering team here at RTI.”

The T4, winner of the coveted CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Manufacturer’s Excellence Award and Electronic House’s 2006 “Product of the Year” Award, is the ideal turnkey solution for users who want complete access to all the functions of their home theaters.

Featuring direct IR control for stand-alone operation, RF output for control processor operation, WiFi for IP control and internet access, and even hard-wired Ethernet and analog video input options, the T4 maintains the perfect balance between display size and resolution. At 6.4 inches, the LCD is small enough to be a truly hand-held device, yet it provides the full VGA resolution necessary for displaying video windows and web pages.

The controller is easily programmable using RTI's signature TheaterTouch Designer™ software, making it simple to display custom buttons, text, graphics, and animations. In addition to limitless software customization, the T4 provides outstanding hardware adaptability. The unit’s front and rear panels will have replaceable color bezels to match consumers’ tastes, and even the color of the 13 available hard buttons can be changed or removed entirely. The T4’s flexibility extends beyond its appearance, the EM-4 Expansion Module allows it to be transformed into a hardwired VESA mountable touchpanel with power-over-Ethernet and dual analog video input ports. In addition, available RTI accessory devices provide the T4 with power-sensing for reliable operation, and RS-232 communications for advanced control.

The T4 is available exclusively through authorized dealers and carries an MSRP of $2,499.

The T3 Handheld Controller, winner of the Exc!te Award from Custom Retailer Magazine, is a powerful and simple-to-use handheld controller featuring a full-color TFT LCD display, 32-bit MCU and 32MB of memory. The T3 combines the power and flexibility of a graphic LCD touchscreen with an ergonomic design that permits effortless one-handed operation. On its own, the T3 is the most user-friendly universal remote control on the market today. Combined with the other RTI TheaterTouchâ„¢ products, the T3 becomes a robust commercial-quality control system.

The T3 takes complete control of the home theater, replacing all other remotes. The bright, high-contrast TFT LCD displays custom buttons, text, graphics and animations. In addition to the backlit display, there are 16 hard buttons which allow easy access to frequently-used functions. When used with the available RTI accessory devices, the T3 is capable of RF transmission through walls and cabinets, power sensing for reliable operation, and RS 232 communications for advanced control.

The T3 is available exclusively through authorized dealers and carries an MSRP of $1,199.

The T2C Handheld Controller, which won a RESI Award from Residential Systems Magazine, is a compact, full-color LCD touchscreen controller which also incorporates an array of fully-programmable hard buttons.

Its thin, light, ergonomic design makes it easy to operate one-handed – even for users with smaller hands. The T2C features a large 2.8-inch full-color TFT LCD display, with full VGA resolution for displaying crisp and clear text, graphics and animation. The controller is fully programmable, and the Windows-based application brings drag-and-drop simplicity to programming, allowing for ultra-fast setup, customization and upgrades.

The T4 is available exclusively through authorized dealers and carries an MSRP of $799.

The RK3 In-Wall System Controller, winner of Residential Systems Magazine’s RESI Award in the Wall Keypad Controller category, is RTI’s premier in-wall solution for home electronics installations. In addition to the bright, high-contrast color touchscreen, the RK3 features fully-programmable hard buttons or assigned macro command strings. A 200MHz, 32-bit Xscale processor ensures each command is delivered instantly, even when the controller is performing several operations at once.

The RK3 is available exclusively through authorized dealers and carries an MSRP of $999.
