Integral Technologies Announces Government Security Initiative

Sept. 22, 2006
Next generation Continuum SE products to meet federal Homeland Security standards

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 21 -- Integral Technologies, Inc., a worldwide provider of scalable IT security solutions, and its development partner, TAC, announce the launch of a Government Security Initiative that addresses Federal Government security standards, including the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) and the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS-201). Several Integral products will be enhanced as part of the enterprise-wide initiative designed to produce compliant security solutions for government installations.

Integral's Continuum SE security management system is the first product to receive the federally-mandated enhancements. The new version includes a lockdown feature that enables users to quickly seal off facility zones from threats impacting other areas of a facility. The system also automatically adjusts access rights based on changes in condition or threat level. Other enhancements include flash memory, greater capacity to store personnel records locally, and fast and secure Ethernet connections with Internet Security Protocol (IPSec) or Internet Key Exchange (IKE) Protocol encryption.

"Our government security initiative places a focus on delivering the most robust and secure solutions for government installations," said Jon Williamson, senior product manager of government security solutions for Continuum products. "At the core of this initiative is our extensive knowledge of and experience with advanced security installations worldwide, and Integral's new hardware and software products designed specifically to meet the latest government requirements."

The Continuum SE product is designed to evolve with changes in industry standards by creating new, upgradeable controllers with extra processing power and memory. As a result, the controllers can expand beyond today's requirements with a simple flash upgrade.

The Continuum development team is leveraging its extensive research and development capabilities to design access control components that exceed the current industry standards for security hardware and software.

Mark Nazarenus, vice president of sales added, "Along with the improvements to the Continuum product, the addition of Erin Phelps as our director of government accounts will help us continue to understand the changing environment within the federal market and develop products to meet those needs."
