SAN DIEGO, CA, September 25, 2006 -– AlliedBarton Security Services, www.AlliedBarton.com, the largest American owned and managed security services firm, demonstrates its ongoing commitment to recruiting and training best-in-class security personnel with the announcement of their enhanced training and employment initiatives at ASIS 2006. AlliedBarton Security Services' Recruitment Organization is led by Dr. Nina Brody, Vice President of Talent. Dr. Brody is a member of the company's senior leadership team and is highly active and respected on the recruitment leadership front. Nina holds a Ph.D. in Organization Change and Development from Temple University and a M.S. in Industrial Psychology from Columbia University.
Highlights from their outstanding recruitment program include:
Recruiter Community Basic Course Certification Program (RCBC) - The RCBC program, rolled out today, ensures that the AlliedBarton's community of dedicated recruiters are trained and certified in basic recruiting processes, compliance and the company's state-of-the-art recruitment technology tools. All existing recruitment personnel and new recruiters are required to be certified as a RCBC-sanctioned recruiter to ensure that best practices, expertise and contractual requirements are met and that AlliedBarton continues to staff all client accounts with leading security talent in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
"Recruiting quality talent for our clients and our company is our business," said Nina Brody, Ph.D., Vice President of Talent. The Recruitment Community Basic Course Certification Program provides industry-leading recruitment training. This course provides initial and ongoing recruitment training in a more consistent, controlled and disciplined manner than is currently occurring in our sector.
"AlliedBarton is the only physical security company that requires the certification of all recruiters. We created stringent curriculum to recertify all our recruiters, and as new recruiters join, they are required to take a three-hour course and pass the exam before working with us. The RCBC is modeled after the award-winning Security Officer training that was honored in Training magazine's Top 100 list in 2006,"adds Brody.
Celebrating Every Day Heros - AlliedBarton was selected to participate in a military recruitment effort entitled OperationHeroforHire.com. This effort is a dedicated partnership with CareerBuilder.com; AMVETS; VFW; the American Legion; ESGR.org and State Veterans' offices across the country to create more opportunities for the people who fought for us to have them.
Operation Hero for Hire is an online job portal that provides a resource specifically designed for veterans exiting the field or active personnel looking for work between deployments.
Effective today, AlliedBarton joins Transition Assistance Online, TAOnline.com, the largest single source of transition assistance information and tools for today's separating military, to provide job opportunities for military veterans.
AlliedBarton works actively to recruit and hire military personnel. "Former and current military personnel make for some of the most desirable physical security candidates for a host of reasons," said Brody. "They understand the chain of command, can be readily trained and follow orders, take pride in wearing uniforms, are team players, and in many cases, can handle firearms and have some form of government clearance."
